Thanks to the Black Apple and Etsy, I found another lovely artist who reminds me of the drawings I used to create when I was a young bird before I got caught up in the corporate and freelance life. Julianna of Oh My Cavalier creates eerie and splendid little creatures that belong on any wall. They remind me of the bird headed women and drowned ladies I drew as a teenager.

Beautiful late summer lettuce and tomato salad with olive oil and homemade white balsamic vinegar, partnered with a bowl of organic strawberries. Must be eaten outside in the last warm sunlight of the season.

Thanks to materialicious for posting the prettiest little shed I have ever seen…and it’s for rent on my favorite island in the world, of course. In the past, I have lived in one room cabins or studios and with careful planning and plenty of storage, I would not mind trying it again in the future.

A new Whole Foods recently opened up in Reno. People seem to be pretty crazy about it, judging from the crowds this weekend. Since shopping seems to be down across the nation, I think making food shopping a visceral experience with natural color, scents, beauty and form will get people out of their homes.

I hope to disappear in the garden with this pretty empire waist dress that I got a few weeks ago. There were not enough tulips this spring, so I need them on my clothes.
