It’s not always easy being green
I have been hanging our laundry out to dry for several years now, but I have been wanting to build a larger clothesline area that can hold more sheets and bedding and I want it located in a more sunny area of our yard. However, I have found it to be very difficult to find clothesline supplies in our local stores. Most home improvement places have never even heard of clothesline kits and probably most don’t even know that line drying your clothes is one of the most cost effective ways to reduce your carbon footprint.
Thank goodness for Lehman’s! I just purchased one of their premium clothesline kits and hope to have it up in the next week or so.
The new clothesline will also be right by the road. We live in the country, so it is not much of an issue with HOAs or other evil neighborhood entities, but it will be interesting to see how people react. Our suburban counterparts will be shocked. Our neighbors will be charmed and hopefully will follow suit.
